Most people's Christmas card list splits into two groups. There are the four or five people who get a proper card, chosen with care. Then there's everyone else: the neighbours, the cousins you see once a year, the office, the school gate. That second group usually gets a charity box of robins, because nobody has the time to design something personal for twenty people.
A pack of personalised cards closes that gap. You make one card you're genuinely proud of, from your own photo, and then print it ten times.
What a personalised Christmas card pack actually is
The idea is simple. Instead of buying a box of generic cards, you design one Christmas card, usually from a family photo, a pet or a scene that means something to you, and get identical printed copies of it.
With The Card Genie, the Christmas pack of 10 is ten 7x5 inch folded cards on thick 330gsm gloss card, each with its own blank envelope, posted to you in one parcel. The pack is £24.99 on top of the card design, which starts at £1.79, so ten personalised printed cards come to £26.78. That's under £2.70 a card.
The front is your design, printed edge to edge. Inside, every card has a small QR code that opens the online version of the card, which matters if you made a video card: everyone who scans it gets the animated version, soundtrack and all.
The one decision: what goes inside
Before you pay, you choose between two insides.
The same message in all ten. Your greeting and sign-off are printed inside every card. There's deliberately no name at the top, so "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, love from the Smiths" works for the neighbours and the office alike. This is the fastest route through a long list: sign nothing, address the envelopes, post.
Blank inside. Nothing is printed inside except the QR code, so you can write each card by hand. This is the better choice when the cards are going to people who'd notice a printed message, like grandparents, a teacher, or the friend who always writes three paragraphs back.
There's no wrong answer. A lot of people split the list: a pack with a printed message for the street, and a blank pack for family.
Who a pack of ten is really for
The street. A photo card through every door on the road is the neighbourly version of a Christmas card, and ten covers most cul-de-sacs.
The office or the team. One card per desk with a printed message, so there's nothing to write at your desk on the last Friday before the break.
Extended family. The aunts, uncles and grandparents who still like a card on the mantelpiece. The QR code inside means the ones who are online can watch the video version too.
Teachers, coaches and carers. Leave the inside blank and write a proper thank you in each one. A card made from your child's drawing turned into a Christmas scene lands differently from a box-set robin.
When to order for Christmas
This is the part people get wrong. A pack travels twice: first to you, then from you to each person on your list.
We print to order and aim to dispatch within 24 hours, and UK delivery to you takes about three working days. Then you need an evening to write and address the cards, and they need to be in the post before Royal Mail's last Christmas posting dates. Ordering by the first week of December leaves a comfortable margin for all of that.
If you're reading this in the week before Christmas, a printed pack is the wrong tool. Send the digital card instantly instead by link, WhatsApp or email, and it arrives on the day wherever they are. For the honest timings on every route, see how long a personalised card actually takes.
How to order one
- Start a Christmas card and upload a photo. Describe the scene or let the Genie suggest one.
- Preview it for free and refine it until you're happy.
- At the printed-card step, choose Pack of 10 instead of a single card.
- Pick the inside: printed message or blank.
- Enter your address and pay.
Already bought a Christmas card and wish you'd ordered more? Open its preview page and choose the pack from "Post it too?". You can order more than one pack from the same card. The help centre page on the pack covers the details.
FAQs
How much is a pack of 10 personalised Christmas cards?
The pack is £24.99 on top of the card design, which starts at £1.79 for an image card. That's £26.78 for ten printed cards, including UK delivery of the pack to you.
Can each card in the pack have a different name?
Not as printed text. The printed message has no name at the top so it suits everyone. If you want each card addressed to someone, choose a blank inside and write the names by hand.
What size are the cards in the pack?
They're 7x5 inch folded cards on 330gsm gloss card, a standard Christmas card size, and each comes with a blank envelope.
Do you post the cards to each person on my list?
No. The pack comes to one address in one parcel, usually yours, so you can sign, address and post each card yourself. To send a single card straight to someone, order a single printed card instead.
Can I order a pack for a birthday or another occasion?
The pack of 10 is for Christmas cards only. Cards for other occasions can be printed one at a time as an A5 card.
